Ten years after its inauguration and coinciding with the centenary of the start of the construction of Milà House, the Fundació Caixa Catalunya has reopened the Espai Gaudí. It is a place of reflection, exploration and discovery, inviting the public to participate in an intellectual and sensorial experience which aims to let Gaudí speak for himself in the exceptional setting of La Pedrera attic.
In addition to the Espai Gaudí, the visitor can see the courtyards, La Pedrera Apartment, which recreates the ambience of a middle class home of the early 20th century, and the roof, surprising for its artistic and symbolic power.

Oh Perejaume, if only you could see the mountain of works around you, you wouldn't do any new ones!
The exhibition shows the last twenty year's work by one of the best known names within the world of contemporary plastic arts.
Since the 1990s, Perejaume's work focuses on the idea revolving around excesses. On the other hand, given the speed of the process known as pro-gress, the entire world has become too visible, entirely visible. In this frame of mind, everything has become a type of permanent exhibition, in light of which we are expected to behave like a simple-minded audience. On the oth-er hand, this same culture grows, is overwritten and accumulates without weakening, condemned to becoming an infinite narration that twists and un-twists without stopping at any point. Both types of excess require being an-swered resorting to the need to hide and be quiet. The strategies which cause this withdrawal point towards two horizons: articulating a poetry of undoing that returns the images to the origin of the world and, in a comple-mentary manner, educates us on simply listening and paying attention to the natural routine.
